Description
Ballybunion lies on the Atlantic coast, west of Limerick in County Kerry, and it is is one of the most beautiful and famous links courses in the world.
The Cashen Course was built in 1984 as the second Ballybunion’s course. It is similar to the Old Course, but not only the greens, but also the fairways are undulated. The dunes are proper hills here, and the fairways run in the valleys between them, mostly not straight.
A great links course, fantastic to play.
The Old Course has existed since 1893, and has varied fairways lined with tall grass. The distance from yellow (men’s) tee to the fairway is often over 150 meters. But you can play sensibly also from the rough. Dunes and sand hills abound. The greens are fast and very bumpy. A course for short game experts. Thanks to its low rating, you can achieve good results.
You should definitely play it are least once, and is will certainly become one of your favorites.
