Ballyliffin Golf Club

Ballyliffin is in the Donegal province in the far north of the island. Belongs to the top 100 golf courses worldwide. This is the original course from Ballyliffin Links, which Nick Faldo gave a facelift to some time ago. The Old Course hosted the Eurpean Tour Irish Senoir Open in 2008 and the Irish Women´s Close in 2015. It is flatter than the Glashedy Links, is closer to the coast and the dune hills are a little lower. The fairways are extremely undulating and rough. Pot bunkers lurk not only near the green, but mostly also left and right, or even in the middle of fairways. Very nice to play. The European Tour DDF Irish Open of 2018 took place at Glashedy Course, as did many other Irish and international tournaments before. The course is a typical "links" with wild spaces between the fairways, but at the same time fair to attentive and responsible play. Wonderful area and wonderful to play.
